According to the “Suggestions to Implement the Teaching in the Second Phase of the Spring Term of 2020”, the specific arrangement relating to the teaching by the international students in the second phase of the spring term of 2020 of the institute and the requirements for practical teaching of related specialized courses, Class Teacher Gong Ping of the Class of International Students led the eight international students on campus to carry out practical teaching in Xiangcheng Campus on May 15 to better ease their mental stress with the approval of the COVID-19 Epidemic Control Office of the institute.  

The practical teaching activity gained vigorous support of the leaders of the management committee of the Xiangcheng Campus. On the very day of the activity, Liang Qi and Lu Guimei, teachers of the Xiangcheng Campus, led them to visit the campus and the practice base. Ms Lu explained the functional zone of the Sci-Tech Park in the Xiangcheng Campus in detail and the eight international students tasted the characteristic fruit of Suzhou, namely, loquat during their tour. With detailed explanation and guidance of Ms Lu in the practice course, the eight international students independently finished replacement of flowerpots and cutting propagation of crab cactus and wandering jew as required by practical training.

The practice not merely enhanced the practical manual dexterity of the international students but also effectively weakened their anxieties of being confined to the campus due to the COVID-19 epidemic and further boosted their perception of the specialized knowledge.
