All international students studying in China are required to purchase group comprehensive insurance in Mainland China. The group comprehensive insurance for foreign students aged 6-45 is 400 RMB for half a year and 800 RMB for one year. The standard contents include: personal insurance, insurance coverage: 100,000 RMB, accidental injury medical insurance, insurance coverage: 20,000 RMB, hospitalization medical insurance, insurance coverage: 400,000 RMB, disease outpatient insurance, insurance coverage: 20,000.  The daily limit is 600 RMB, the threshold is 650 RMB (deductible), and the compensation proportion is 85%.

Note: all the above medical institutions are limited to public hospitals in the mainland of the People's Republic of China. The scope of medical expenses can only be limited to the items and expenses in line with the scope of local social basic medical insurance, but the self-payment for class B-type drugs shall be borne at one's own expense.
