​The Faculty of International Education Held Lectures on Exit-Entry Management of the International Students and Laws and Regulations

To enhance education for the international students of Grade 2019 on exit-entry management rules, laws and regulations, and disciplines and regulations of our institute to guarantee the safety of learning and life of the international students in the institute, on the afternoon of December 19, the Faculty of International Education invited Wang Yizhi, officer of the Exit-Entry Management Squad of Suzhou Public Security Bureau Gusu Branch to lecture on the exit-entry management rules, laws and regulations for the international students of our institute with the attendance of Deputy Director Sun Qiyong of the Security Office of the institute, Dean Jiang Bingkun of the Faculty of International Education, Director Liang Qidong of the Office of the Faculty of International Education, Class Teacher Gong Ping of the international students and all the international students of Grade 2019. The lecture was presided over by Class Teacher Gong Ping.

At the lecture on security education, according to the related requirements of the National Immigration Administration, all the international students of Grade 2019 watched the publicity film on law observation. Deputy Director Sun Qiyong elaborated on the related disciplines, regulations and issues on security and ban violation to the international students on campus. Officer Wang Yizhi carefully explained in English the procedures and laws and regulations concerning application for visa and residence permit, focused on the do’s and don’ts for the international students relating to their personal security and property security, elaborated on the policies of Suzhou Municipality concerning the international students in China and answered their questions. Class Teacher Gong Ping carefully explained the systems of attendance, dormitory management, guest visiting and the practice of working while studying. Dean Jiang Bingkun of the Faculty of International Education put up requirements for their safety and holiday life in three aspects: Strictly abide by the Chinese laws and regulations and strive to observe the disciplines and laws; respect the local customs and conventions of Suzhou and adapt to the learning and life in Suzhou as soon as possible; turn to the class teacher for help the moment they encounter any problem or difficulty during their study here. Finally, he hoped that all the international students could adapt to the campus life, obey the management, study hard and graduate smoothly.

The lecture composed a vital part of the entrance education for international freshmen, which enhanced the knowledge of the international students about exit-entry security, boosted their awareness of abiding by laws and regulations and deepened their understanding of the daily campus life management system.
