On April 6th, our institute held an online meeting with Congo Pointe-Noire Municipal Government to promote the online training of China-Congo Local Agricultural Remote Science and Education Service Center. 

Both sides exchanged opinions on the training plan and determined an annual program focus on vegetables and sweet potatoes as the main training content. In the first half of the year, the center plans to arrange the complete planting training for tomatoes, kale and eggplant.

Since 2017, our institute has actively participated in the development and strengthening of the Suzhou and Pointe-Noire Sister City co-operation, recruiting local agricultural students and carrying out agricultural science and technology training. The China-Congo local Agricultural Distance Science and Education Service Center was jointly established in 2021 by the Pointe-Noire local Government Cooperation Office, Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office, and our institute. This was done with the support of the Congo Pointe-Noire local government and Suzhou local government, in commitment to promote Sino-Congolese agricultural industry cooperation and Congolese agricultural science and education training, as well as to cultivate agricultural technical skills talents for Congo.
