Recently, 31 overseas students of Soochow University from South Korea, Japan, Sudan, Spain, Russia, Italy and other countries participated in the second "Fragrant Flowers, Tea Ceremony" course training held by our college.

On May 14, Ms. Chen Junjun at the College of Horticultural Science & Technology introduced the development history of Chinese tea drinking, various forms of modern tea drinking and basic classification principles of the six tea categories to the overseas students of Soochow University and displayed the bowl with cover, traditional Chinese tea drinking ware, so that overseas students can understand and realize the basic tea brewing principle of "mainly based on tea and partially based on tea ware". Then Ms. Hao Shan showed the whole process of tea art on the spot and overseas students truly saw and imitated the process, and then conducted the brewing practice and tasting appreciation of four tea samples.

On May 18, Mr. Zhu Jianbo at the College of Horticultural Science & Technology and Mr. Wu Fei at Suzhou Polytechnic Institute of Agriculture ·YIFEA College launched "dried flower ornaments DIY" and "production of envelope flower boxes" for overseas students of Soochow University. Overseas students followed the steps to freely match materials and select styles and then made the favorite dried flower ornaments and envelope flower boxes. They exchanged experience on their own works and were full of joy and a sense of accomplishment on their faces.

After learning this course, overseas students personally experienced the charm of traditional Chinese flower arrangement and tea culture. After the course was over, Yuan Weiming, President of the College of Horticultural Science & Technology, and Yuan Meiqin, general Party branch secretary, issued course-completion certificates to overseas students and took a group photo with them to mark the occasion.
