Recently, the “International Vocational Skill Competition for Higher Vocational Colleges of Agriculture” organized by Yangling Vocational Technical College was brought to a successful end. Four international students of our institute from the Republic of Congo and Lesotho participated in the competition and submitted eight photography works. After the evaluation of the organizing committee, our institute won one first prize, one second prize and two third prizes. Chen Liren, Ma Yanping, Weng Fei and Xu Naixia won the “Outstanding Instructor Award” and our institute obtained the “Outstanding Organization Award”.

Focusing on “High-quality Development Driven by Scientific and Technological Innovation” of the 27th China Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Fair, themed on “Ecological Civilization and Modern Agricultural Development” and in the two forms of “Modern Agriculture in My View” Photography Works and “My Specialty and I” micro-video works, the competition was aimed at further enhancing the exchanges of international students of vocational colleges of agriculture and cementing intercollegiate exchanges and the awareness of the international students about modern agriculture.

The leaders of the institute attached much attention to the competition and required related staff to carefully organize the international students of our institute to take part in the competition and submit the entries. The Office of Foreign Affairs and the Faculty of International Education of our institute took the lead and carefully organized. The Faculty of Horticultural Science and Technology and the Faculty of Smart Agriculture carefully arranged and implemented and proactively participated. Chen Liren, Xu Naixia, Ma Yanping and Weng Fei composed the team of instructors who divided labor cooperation, carefully guided the international students to create the works with care according to the knowledge of modern agriculture and smart agriculture, integrated the teaching and practical learning into the works and finally selected outstanding works for the competition on behalf of our institute.

This competition further demonstrated our institute’s achievements in internationalized talent cultivation and boosted our institute’s influence of modern agricultural vocational education on international talent cultivation.
