On August 6, a delegation of six headed by General Manager Ozawa of the Smart Agriculture Undertaking Promotion Center of OMRON (China) Co., Ltd, President Xu Ganfeng of Shanghai Mingyong Culture Communication Co., Ltd and Director Fu Yijing of the Sino-Japanese Cultural and Economic Exchanges Association visited our institute. Vice President Kong Tingting of the institute and the leaders in charge of the Office of the institute, the Faculty of International Education, the Faculty of Horticultural Science and Technology, the Faculty of Smart Agriculture, the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Recruitment and Employment attended the meeting of exchange presided over by Office Director Geng Xiaodong of the institute.

At the meeting, Vice President Kong Tingting extended gracious welcome to the delegation of General Manager Ozawa and introduced the historical development, the situation of running, the specialty setup, recruitment and employment and international exchanges of the institute in detail. General Manager Ozawa introduced the OMRON Group and the solutions of smart agriculture of OMRON, elaborated on introduction of high-quality seedlings, active data cultivation and automatic environment control devices and enumerated the successful cases of demonstration farms of smart agriculture. Afterwards, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges themed on “Cultivation and Employment of Agricultural Talents”, and discussed such issues as the cultivation, internship and employment in Japan of the technical talents of smart agriculture.

The meeting opened up new thoughts for our institute to cultivate the internationalized technical talents of agriculture and pointed out a new orientation of introducing and integrating the internationally advanced agricultural technical training resources and system.
