On April 28, 2022, the first local agricultural technology core training course of the China-Congo Local Agricultural Distance Science and Education Service Center was held in the form of online conference. Professor Chen Sujuan of the College of Horticultural Science and Technology of our institute gave a thorough training course to the agriculture students in the city of Pointe-Noire, Congo. The focus of the live online video training was on the following three aspects: variety selection, stubble arrangement and key technologies, under the theme of Efficient Tomato Cultivation Technology.

In recent years, our institute has continued to promote the development of ‘two centers - one base’ concept, established and strengthened the operation of the overseas training center of the college, and actively carried out the "Chinese + vocational skills" training project for countries along the ‘Belt and Road.’ There have been initiatives with Congo, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and other countries to cultivate localized agricultural technical skills and talents, which achieved remarkable results. The institute will continue to use projects such as sister city twinning cooperation to promote the long-term remote science and education service model and to showcase and export the successful experience of agricultural vocational education.
