From April 18 to April 24, the tea art team of the College of Horticultural Science & Technology was invited to do a one-week tea art show at the 9th Jiangsu Horticultural Expo.
On the morning of April 18, the tea art team officially entered the tea garden of the Horticultural Expo. The tea garden is built along the lake and surrounded by the sea of flowers and Suzhou Modern Agricultural Park, thus forming a beautiful picture of serenity and primitive simplicity. Relying on the tea garden, the tea art team transmitted the exquisite tea culture. Students of the tea art team dressed in tea clothes arranged the tea banquet and placed tea wares, making the original simple tea table instantaneously turned into a "stage" full of artistic charm. The arrangement of the tea art show focused on the interaction with the drinkers. Members of the tea art team often poured the brewed Biluochun tea into delicate cups for the tourists sitting around the table.
On the spot, the students of the tea art team also introduced the frying process and drinking methods of Biluochun to tourists: Biluochun has the most suitable water temperature of 75 ℃ with water first and then tea added in a transparent glass as we can appreciate the beautiful shape of the curly tea leaves covered with pekoe more conveniently; Tea can't be "downed". We can first feel it with the tip of the tongue, then let the tea fill our oral cavity to experience it, and finally feel the sweetness of the tea leaves in our throat. Tasting Biluochun should be "at different levels" just like tasting red wine.
The tea art team of the College of Horticultural Science & Technology is a social service team relying on the college's brand specialty construction. The show at the Horticultural Expo connected tea science culture with garden art, and spread the elegant and harmonious tea art essence of tea culture with the youthful charm of gardeners. The tea art team will combine social services with the dissemination of tea culture, and promote tea culture to more groups in the future.
