This year marks the 25th anniversary of the development of the profound friendship between Jiangsu Province and Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The Tea Art and Marketing Specialty of our College of Horticultural Science & Technology received a "letter on invitation to participate in the friendly tea party of Fukuoka Prefecture*Jiangsu Province" from the Office of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Chinese Affairs of the People's Government of Wuzhong District, Suzhou City to deepen friendly exchanges in the field of tea art and do tea art shows.
On the morning of December 24, 2017, the teachers of Tea Art and Marketing in our college led 7 students to the venue and did a show on the same stage with 8 Japanese tea women with the theme of Suzhou Dongting Biluochun tea and recomposition of Guqin and han Chinese dance.
The form of communication of associating with friends by tea was affirmed by China and Japan. Yoko Ogawa, Governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, highly appreciated the fascinating shows of our teachers and students. Ms. Kue Hirakawa, president of Japan Okagaki Communication Association and a tea art master and her party visited the training room of the College of Horticultural Science & Technology of our school. Secretary Yuan Meiqin introduced the long history of our school, specialist subjects, and led communications more deeply in terms of taking the tea as the medium by China and Japan and future interaction between teachers and students.
